TERA Online : 58 Warrior Solo Gameplay

A few TERA gameplay videos from the Korean retail servers. The “protagonist” is a level 58 Human Warrior soloing group monsters, aka BAM(s).

    Grindfests are still grindfests no matter how much action you have in your MMO.

          Considering Koreans have been leaving the game for a lack of content, I’d say ‘grindfest’ isn’t exactly fitting. Grindfests seems to do pretty well in Korea.

          AION wasn’t a grindfest either…

          At least lot a leveling grindfest. My SM hit 50 in 3 and a half weeks.

          An Abyss Points / gear grindfest, yes.

          In TERA i hit 50 in a little over a month on KR retail. And gear its so common and easily dropped than we used most golden parts for enchanting.

          Trust me, TERA is not a grindfest in no way. In fact, now that i remember it, we were leveling so fast that every time we moved to a higher level zone we had to abort 15+ quests.

            Dude, I’ve got to correct you. I’ve hit the grindfest in Aion around lvl 43 or 44. The only thing left to do was to repeat the same few quests, ie grind group mobs with a group for hours.

            First MMO for a very long time where I didn’t hit max level. I did exactly one level like that, then calculated the hours it took me, grinding the same mobs over and over and over, and went “fuck it!”.

    Um… a 10 minute battle before the thing dies… Sorry man, I want gratification a bit sooner than that… call me an “a-typical American video gamer”… but why do I want every fight to take 10 minutes?

      He’s soloing what is essentially a elite creature that would have taken an entire group. That’s why it takes so long.

      You don’t have to fight these mobs alone.

      They are group mobs, he just does it to show how good he is at the class and the soloing potential of the warrior class.

      “Normal” solo mobs die in 4-5 hits.

    Not bad all in all, the mobs look great, character animations are fluid and nicely done, UI looks clean and well put together, environment looks good as well, not sure this is the MMO for me but I can certainly see how many people would be excited for this. Thanks for the vids. :)

    That’s what I absolutely love and am excited about this game. It requires true skill to be good at it. Reminds me of why loved playing Ninja Gaiden, DMC, etc… You’ll get by the game if you just spam, but if you’re really good at your class, you’ll own face and drink all the tears of the QQ’ers… especially the people who call it a grind-fest, cause you know they suck ;P.
