Star Wars : The Old Republic : [Guide] Your 1st Datacron

I came across a Datacron yesterday in Tython and it took me quite a while to finally reach it. At first, I thought it needed some mountain ninja skills but then I realized I should make a little guide for people to make it slightly easier for them to get their first Datacron.

So lets start with the location you need to be. The Datacron is at the edge of a waterfall, however you cannot reach it from the sides.

You actually need to go around the mountain to get into a little cave that leads to the other side, where the Datacron is located.

The cave entrance is located right below the “S” in the word “Flesh” on the map. The images below should help you to locate it faster.

 
Inside the cave there are a few mob spawns, nothing hard, just some “Manka Cats”, which are easy to beat.
In the end however is a strong mob, again easy to defeat, just takes a bit more of a beating compared to the Manka Cats.

 
In the end of the cave/tunnel and after you’ve beaten the last mob, there is an opening which leads outside.
That’s where the Datacron is located. Right click on it and enjoy your permanent +2 Endurance.

        It also gives a preview of how the Datacron system may lay out in release (obviously with different locations). As a non-tester, it is still interesting to see.

    They have never said that these locations were going to change, in fact I highly doubt they will change. Second of all, I got this detecting by scaling the waterfall, it isn’t that difficult.

      I suppose they will go the middle road – made them randomly spawn in certain spawn points, maybe once a day then respawn in other places and order

    Im so excited to try this game out, cannot wait till they give the date for the huge beta coming up. Also, how do you locate these datacrons? Do they show up on the map? or you just run into them?

    The actual beta forums have a list of all the datacron locations. And yes they said theyd be changed for launch.

    I found 2 on Korriban and 1 on Drommand Kaas

    Actually if you go across the stream. Climb the hill to the left and jump across the rocks. You don’t have to find the cave. Did it with two characters ibm the beta weekend.

    The funny thing is…I actually found a way up the BACK END where the datacron is. Instead of going through the cave…I scaled that back slope. It sucked…but I’m surprised it actually worked…felt hella stupid though when I saw how easy it was to get into it -.-

    I actually climbed up the rocks and got it. then had a quest a later on that actually leads you right to the cave.
