Skyrim : Godly Archer

I just found a bunch of videos of a guy playing Skyrim as an archer and I must say I’m quite impressed. The guy’s archery skills are godlike and that’s an understatement…

    Honestly archery in Skyrim is sooo overpowered in many ways, you can take out foes without them even getting close to you in only a few hits, if you are sneaking with 3x dmg + maxed on archery and a good bow etc It’s redicilus you dont have to fight anyone as long as you are hidden.

      archery was pretty weak in oblivion, they probably wanted to make up for that

    maybe its because i play bf3, but there’s nearly as much skill involved hitting something when everything goes slow-motion, as when you’re sniping sprinting targets far away.

    Nothing is OP in Skyrim if you play on Master difficulty, trust me. On Master, archer is the last class i’d choose.

      On Master, archer has actually been the easiest for me (especially before having great equipment). You can get off your first stealth shot and back away before you are found and repeat against things that can’t be killed in one or two shots.

      With a destruction/conjuration mage, it’s all well and good unless something gets the drop on you instead of hitting your summon first, in which case you’re one-shot dead.

      With non-shield melee, you have serious difficulty against caster types, and if you’re shield+sword, you are pretty weak before you get shield charge and can knock everything down.

      Whereas archer has a very smooth progression for me.

      Don’t count the end-game stuff–at end game, all player builds are OP with equipment that can give free casting, super high weapon damage or +160% stealth. The real measure of how a build plays is before godly equipment from the beginning into the 20s and 30s, and in that respect, archery has actually been the strongest for me.

    i think this is pretty much offtopic? somehow.. i mean this shoulnd’t be on a front page this isn’t any kind of “leak” nor information.. its just skills, its like having a kill streak from bf3 on the front page.. no real news there.. i hope Mr.Cake reads this!

      It’s his site, he can put up whatever the hell he wants. These kinds of posts are a nice addition to all the MMO updates we get. Besides, no one is making you look at this post. If you don’t want to see someone’s archery skills in skyrim, don’t click on a topic and descirption that says ” Skyrim : Godly Archer” and “I just found a bunch of videos of a guy playing Skyrim as an archer and I must say I’m quite impressed.     More impressive in a fight when you’re dodging and timing shots against running opponents. Shooting birds isn’t very.. well anything.

    archer is OP on godly too, being the ranged variant that has unlimited ammo due to arrow weigh of 0, making it the easiest way to do master and still OP.

    I totally agree with DejaVu, archery it’s the “hardcore” of master difficulty.

    That guy spitting about Talos drove me bonkers doing diferent quest in and out of windhelm. Till I finaly killed him in a dark alley. Thralled his body and hid it under the bridge in front of dragons reach with the skelton in it. This video… made my day, andn make me feel like this is a more fitting end for him.
