TERA Online : Last night’s EU Stress Test

Frogster apparently solved all their issues which caused the cancellation of their sneak peak event last weekend and are currently doing short stress tests to see if everything is running smoothly for their upcoming Beta. I was there last night.
I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly the game was. That’s for the first 20 minutes of the test. After that it seemed that there were just a little bit too many people for the server to handle.
There were 38 or 39 channels at the beginner’s area, the Isle of Dawn.
A friend of mine who follows the game very closely, confirmed that every channel fits about 250 people. Assuming his statement is true, that leaves us with almost 10.000 people on a single server. Not bad at all.
After a while everyone was invited to switch to Channel 37 and join the dancing event there.
Well it was more of a channel stress test to be honest, however the lag was unbearable (10 FPS on my machine) and so everyone just started dancing instead.
Overall the test was a huge success, since neither the server or any of the channels crashed and it was quite fun logging into TERA again. I love the artstyle of the game.
Anyway, I took some generic screens of last night’s stress test, enjoy!
