The Secret World : Version 1.0 Patch Notes

Below you will find the patch notes for the latest The Secret World patch that was deployed on June 17th. Nothing major was changed, which should (in theory) be a good thing. Enjoy!

 

The Secret World : Version 1.0 Patch Notes

 

GENERAL

  •  The tradepost, ingame mail, and bank are now enabled and available for testing.
  •  Fixed the cause of a crash when trying to create a new character.
  •  You can now buy the first item at a vendor even if you cannot use it, and will no longer see an empty text field.
  •  Voice-overs will no longer continue to play after pressing Esc.
  •  Fixed some visual issues that occurred when swapping weapons.
  •  Animations after jump landing are now displayed properly again.

CRAFTING

  •  The Assemble button should always have text and not appear inactive.
  •  Dragging from disassembly to assembly now triggers the assemble recipe as intended.

GUI

  •  Fixed a Pax Romana currency icon issue in item descriptions.
  •  Players are no longer able to equip items that are listed in the trade window.
  •  Health bar no longer gets covered with text if the “Show target’s nametag healthbar” option is disabled while “Show healthbars” is set to something other than “None”.
  •  The faction rank icon in healthbars now shows the target’s faction rank icon instead of your own.
  •  Fixed “distance” not being shown in the nametag if “View vicinity pvp/friendly nametags” was disabled.
  •  Fixed health bar issues when a player zoned in and “View vicinity pvp/friendly nametags” was enabled.
  •  Players no longer have an option to meet up and whisper NPCs.
  •  The Dressing Room dropdown menu now indicates it is scrollable.
  •  Popup tutorial tips are now more user-friendly, and will no longer stay onscreen for too long once clicked on.
  •  Fixed a bug causing several key names to be printed incorrectly in the hotkey configuration GUI.

MISSIONS

  •  During missions where a computer interface is used, longer strings of text will no longer be cut off and unreadable.

      There’s a few umentioned changes – but not as many as usual (and the usual is usally many!).
      The reason for this is that they’re rolling out the code first and foremost, which is something we won’t really notice – afterwards (which is not yet) they’ll roll out the date :)

      They already have in 0.8 and it was a big improvement, currently they seem to be working on UI, AH, Banks polishing and still PvP minigames testing every day.

      The animations still have been fixed and all the ones I see look awesome (im hammer and chaos and love the animations) theres still the issue with the legs but i dont notice it (i never did) tbh I had to zoom in and look really closely to actually see what people were on about and theres really not much wrong with it whatsoever.

          I felt they did in .8 and .9 but this last patch it feel much better in this patch. I mostly used it and blood for ranged healing and a little damage but it seems to have gotten a boost

            Nice anyone wanna post a video of the latest patch considering the NDA has been lifted ? I am particularly interested in character creation and assault rifle animation / sound in addition to any new weapon animations :D

    I played all weekend beta`s and for what i seen i love the game, there r still bugs but no mmo have a prefect lunch. Any way i found only one problem which is quite big for me, the game is putting to much strain on my hardware i have a high end PC and compared to other mmo`s the diference is big, the Temp`s on my VGA go up to 80-88c wich is quite high, and on low settings. check the drivers and tested my vga and everything looks k, so i think it`s on the game side.

      I have found out, that in DX9 I could have twice as much FPS as in DX11. And only thing which you will loose is Tesselation and SSAO. They look nice but also need alot of power. Also, setting sliders to 4 does not make much sense as there is little difference between 3 to 4 and if you set advanced GFX slider to 2. You will loose godrays but gain alot of FPS (20 in my case). got Core i7 at 3.4 and geforce 570 gtx.

        I was using DX9 wit low settings no shadows, still Temp`s were going up

          If you have a high end computer, DX9 is going to LOSE performance for you. Use DX11 no matter what your settings are!

            Now that does not make any sense… If engine is not well optimized, then DX11 is not going to help. And can you define high end? anything 5xx up from geforce should be high end enough. Yet still, DX11 is slower. And no better card can help with that, is simply an engine optimalization.

            That is a load of crap. On ultra with DX9 with my GTX 470, I get 22-28 FPS, If I change it to DX11 I get 40-50. Keep your misinformation to yourself.

            Soo i got a high end computer……dx9 still runs better then dx 11. Funny thing is back before .8 i got 35-50 on ultra with dx 11 and now i get about 12-20 and get 25-35 on dx9. Im computer stupid so care to explain that one? That with my deleting the rdb hash files and updated drivers.

            I get about 20 fps more from dx9 too.

            There is really no one answer though because making use of dx11 features requires a lot of the rendering code to be different. How these changes work out for you depends on your system.
